BD Foods Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ownership

  1.  All goods are offered subject to availability, to ensure goods are available please use pre-order.
  2. All goods remain the property of Barbarrie Duckling Ltd. until paid for in full.
  3. Acceptance of goods shall be deemed conclusive evidence of the buyer's acceptance of these conditions.

Cancellation and Returns

  1. We are confident you will be happy with your purchase. However, should you feel it necessary to return an item, we aim to make the returns process as simple as possible
  2. f you are unhappy with one or more items, simply return them in the original packaging and we will give you a credit on those products or replace the item where possible. Please note customers services department must be notified within 24 Hours of delivery. In order to receive credit for damaged goods all goods must be returned within 2 days of delivery. Otherwise you are deemed to have accepted the goods.
  3. All such goods must be stored under appropriate conditions and be available for inspection. No liability other than the value of the goods is accepted for non-delivery, or late delivery.
  4.  All pre-ordered goods are deemed accepted at time of ordering. We require one week's notification to change or cancel pre-ordered goods.

Complaints

  1. If you have a complaint about our service or any goods you purchase from Barbarrie Duckling Ltd then please contact us immediately, we aim to provide a resolution.
  2. All complaints will be dealt with in a prompt and confidential manner.
  3. All account queries should be notified before the 14th of the following month, otherwise the monies due is deemed correct.

Credit Terms

  1. All new customers must complete a credit application form, before we can open a new account. (A Bank or Directors personal reference may be required.)
  2. We reserve the right to ask customers to complete a credit application form at any time.
  3. All deliveries are Cash On Delivery pending receipt by Barbarrie Duckling Ltd of satisfactory Bank and Trade references.
  4. If an account is established, all accounts are net monthly and payment becomes due on the 14th of the following month,
  5. All accounts will be set with a credit limit, pending on our credit checks. All credit limits can be reduced if credit terms are broken.
  6. Barbarrie Duckling has the right to stop deliveries if the terms and conditions are broken.

Brochure Details

  1. All prices, product brands and specification are subject to alteration without prior notice, please check before ordering.
  2. Sterling prices are liable to change in accordance with currency fluctuations.
  3. The price shall be that stated on your brochure, invoice or the price contained in your quotation.
  4. The quotation price is only effective if the terms and conditions are adhered to and are only valid for the period stated.

VAT

  1. VAT will be charged on some products pending government regulations.

Delivery Terms

  1. All delivery dockets must be signed and kept as proof of delivery.

Payment Methods for New Customers

  1. Our company policy for all new accounts, will be Cash On Delivery until a fully completed Direct Debit mandate and Credit Application form are processed by our Accounts Department. This process can take up to 10 working days. The Direct Debit will leave your Bank Account on the 20th of the following month. Barbarrie Duckling Ltd. reserves the right to refuse credit without giving any reason.

Payment Methods for Existing Customers

  1. Direct Debit is available for all customers; which leaves your Bank Account n the 20th of the following month. Please contact your Rep. for further information.
  2. Cheque, bacs and cash on delivery are all accepted where applicable.
  3. All cheques to be made payable to B.D. Foods or Barbarrie Duckling Ltd.
  4. Any cheques that are returned by our Bank, a fee of EUR30 or £25 will be charged to your account.

Interest on Overdue Accounts

  1. In accordance with European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transaction) Regulations 2002, Barbarrie Duckling Ltd. reserves the right to charge interest on overdue accounts.
  2. Overdue balances will be charged at a rate of: 1-2 months 2%; 3 months 5%; 4 months and over 10%. (Please not accounts overdue by 3 months will automatically be put on hold without prior notice.)
